Most people will close the second eye (almost always the left one) when looking thru the scope. With a little practice, it is very easy to shoot with both eyes open, and generally, professional snipers do practice. the extra eye will give the shooter a bit of peripheral vision and he can see things down range not in the scopes field of view, but not magnified like the mod is.
