well if you want to get technical, the Jews saw Jesus as a heretic, and yea, they didn't like him much. But wait, oh yea, what did the Church do to people it deemed as heretics? Wait didn't they like, kill them? Yea, I think they did. And oh yea, Romans couldn't care less what the jews wanted. They controlled them.
