well if you want to get technical, the Jews saw Jesus as a heretic, and yea, they didn't like him much. But wait, oh yea, what did the Church do to people it deemed as heretics? It's a lot easier to control people when they are calm and you help them by eliminating the source of their anger. I'm not blaming the Jews for anything, I'm not saying they are evil for killing Jesus, or that they are any worse than others who have killed heretics, I'm just saying, they did it.
