I'm a pessimist on many things and the whole get together with workers is just a scam by your employer (obviously)...but like nyck said I do prefer reading.

how is it a scam? I get along with all my co-workers
shit if work is paying, even better. Every friday at my work, they buy lunch for everyone and we sit around at the table like the waltons and eat lunch together and bullshit.[/quote:c4b8b]
I guess I should have been more specific, I'm talking about the large corporations here. I used to work for McDon's (unfortunately) a few years back, I wasn't as vigiliant as I am today about workers policies/rights. I realized the company never rasied my wages because if they found any excuse to keep it down my manager gets some profit not the worker. Then they throw these parties and events to make you feel apart of a "team" even though they are screwing you over by keeping your wages as low as they can, the highest wage increase I got was 10 cents (the highest you can get is 25 cents over a 3 month period). I remember talking to one of the managers who was disillusioned with the system, telling me stories about what the owners did and how it was a unethical business. It's different for a small independent firm because everyone knows everyone but its ultimately different in a large scale corporation.
I don't think its wrong to think the way I do, although I know everyone will point the finger and say anti-social etc..but I can't do anything about that.
Also gg judas. biggrin:
