What does it prove anyway? I mean it's obvious they have the right to exercise free speech - They don't live in dictatorships - The newspapers would allow them to print, and they know it. So what is the point? Just to spite muslims? Wow, that's a mature way to handle a very tender issue, during a very unstable time.
These people just need to look at the bigger picture - People are getting to involved in picking sides in this thing and not looking out for the greater good.

I never said I agreed with the reaction of those Muslims - What I DID say is basically that you're asking for it if you provoke these muslims by delibrately reprinting the images inspite (I haven't heard any valid reason for reprinting the image, except to make a "point" about "free speech") of that reaction. Now the editors etc have to go into hiding. I wonder why that is?
The reason why there was such a strong reaction in the middle east over other Muslim areas of the world is because that those muslims are already pissed the fuck off at westerners for all the shit they've been stirring in their countries....
My point is that this came at a REALLY bad time for western-middle eastern relations, and anymore shit like this is going to send the relationship to a place where it can't be sorted out. The fact that the people that reprinted the image did so knowing that is just silly, and foolish - They put all their countrymen at risk just to "make a point."
It may sound like I'm justifying the reaction of the muslims - I'm not. I'm making a point that rather than making attempts to revive the relationship - These people are just making things worse.
