one thing that ive found very handy about the direct selection tool is that instead of cliking on points to select them ( which can be frustrating as all out fuk ) you can marquee them to select ... you can also do this with sets of points and move them all at once ... once you have a point or group of points selected you can also 'nudge' them with the arrow keys
... it took me quite while of messing with ill and fuking hating selecting points to figure this out .
the person in that tut needs to be stabbed to death for that appearance they are using.
: also , in some cases tracing can be replace by "live trace" , if the art work is in good shape. fuking with the options once you have live traced and previewing those changes will most times lead to a complete drawing.
