Probably he's italian.
Not all catholics are stuck up, but the higher ups are usually...well anyone who thinsk they have autority (politicians, teachers etc.)
The best gift my parents gave me besides life was the fact i dind't have to attend catholic shcool...went there once for a visit with my friend who went there...wanted to kill some of those stuck up teachers.
