Now that I think of it, that is rather dumb as hell. Why in the world would a gaming community like Gamespy put their program on a game CD, and not supply any information in the game or on the site for setting up your own server, and which ports to use. I'll be honest, when it comes to support for this game, EA has jack-crap.
