Wooohoooo!!!!! The store near my house gave me three freebies since I bought something!!! I got a Superman comic, a Spiderman and the 65th Anniversary issue of the Archies. I got the Archies book for my 15 year old daughter. I figured she was too old for it but I used to buy her Archie books when she was younger. Much to my surprise, when she finished reading it, she said, "That was good Dad. Thanks!" ...... Sweet.

Anyway, each comic is a "special" issue and has the "Free Comic Book Day" logo on it. there are about 28 titles that are participating. The store I was at had a box full of the free issues. They had a couple of Superman books, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Conan, Liberty Girl, The Archies, Transformers, Donald Duck and several others that I was not familiar with. Titles for all ages! It was a pretty dang good selection and it was tough just picking three.

I forgot to mention, I bought three Sgt. Rocks from the early 70's. The Sgt. Rock graphic novel that Joe Kubert illustrated a couple of years ago called "Sgt. Rock: Between Hell and a Hard Place". I also bought a set of three Avenger books from early 70's. So much for "free" comic book day! LOL
