I just remembered what the hatch countdown reminds me of

Remember in the original 'Time Machine', the nuclear fallout alert thing the Morlocks used to attract the Eloi to their lair thing, and when the alarm ends, and the boy looks to Rod Stewart and says "Its alright, it's 'all clear'",and he doesnt know what it means or what 'not clear' would be, its just programmed beahvior.
