I used to have some sony earbuds that came in a case that reeled them in when you were done. They came completely out of the case. Then when you were done you put the buds back in, closed the lid on the case and reeled the cord in. Pretty easy. The case was pretty flat so it fit in your pocket pretty easy. I got mine at a CVS.
