That's something I've noticed from my puppy. Everytime he sees me, he gets incredibly happy and excited. No cat I've owned has ever shown me that kind of attention. I think it's sweet and adorable. Someone at another forum I'm a member of told me dogs get overly excited because, well, they're stupid, and just about anything gets them happy.
