Problem now resolved, I tried formatting the drive and completely resinstalling everything, still the same problem, by the way bazooka joe bios settings are held on the chips on the motherboard/graphics card not on the hard disk. To solve the issue i did the following, the Cas latency on the board bios was set to auto, now i know my ddr memory was not on the recommended list for the board and suspected that it was being run to high so i set this to 2.5, since then I have been in crash free heaven angel:
