I work in IT support for a College. I have sooo many stupid things happen its untrue.
Like today:
I phoned a woman in the libary,
Librarian: Hello Learning centre
Me: hi, its mike from IT, I need to install some software on one of the machines in L301a, yet this PC is currently in use, can you give me a time, where its convenient to connect up, as its only a 2 minute job.
Librarian: Yes just old on one minute, and i'll check
Librarian: the room is free at the minute if you want to do it now
Me: No its not, im connected to it remotely, and theres someone typing an email as we speak
Librarian: No theres not, the room is free.
Me: No im connected to it and there is definately someoen on it now.
Librarian: there is no one in the L301a at the moment.
Me: Sigh ok thanks i'll call back later.
Yesterday:
Woman came up,
woman: im having problems with my laptop, the speakers arnt working.

woman: Yeah you plug them in, and the text speach doesnt come out
