Wrong.
People buy pounds all the times with their buddies, as usually you can get more weed for less money by buying in bulk.
Thing is, the dealers who deal pounds usually only deal to people they trust, so you have to give all your money to one guy to go get it and bring it back. It wouldn't have surprised me if this guy was just coming back from such a deal and got caught since it's harder to move a pound, than say a gram. Happens all the time.
