Well why the fuck would you joke something like that? It's not like Faith Hill has historically been known as a comedian. It would be different if somebody like Rob Schneider pulled a stunt like that, because it would be perceived as a joke.

Before the name is called out, Faith is pacing about and smiling as if to know that she's going to get the award, especially if that was the word on the street that she would win. She could have become so concentrated on how she would react that she didn't even listen to the name.

If she was joking, then it's a horrible PR move, because now she'll have to explain herself and look like a moron in doing so.
