That card needs the 1.21 gigawatts of nuclear reaction to generate the electricity it needs.
But serioulsy, you're both right about the retarded prices of PC components. In a way though it's not so bad, as you can get a good card for around $120-150 that can hold its own against most moderns games today. It's only the games like Crysis that are making these companies shit their pants and making them create these super cards.
But it's another reason why buying a $600 PS3 doesn't seem like such a bad deal. And I suppose that by buying such a highly-priced console, that you're only the problem, not the solution. And people WILL buy the PS3, and they will buy it until stores are out of stock 4-5 shipments into the launch.
