The problem with the ps3 and its lacks of units is all sonys doing, if they weren't so dead set on shipping the system with a format like bluray then most likely the system would have launched earlier this year.
As it is the 360 has an almost 7 million unit lead on the ps3, and with them shipping a small amount of ps3's this christmas that lead won't be impacted much. So far the ps3 has already been delayed twice, once when it was supposed to ship in spring of this year and now the launch for europe has been put back to march and from what i read today not even march is a certainty for the ps3 launch in europe.
The price tag is also gonna be hurting some people, $500 and $600 for a console is fucking retarded considering its only their dinky litle blu-ray format thats making the price that high.
Consider the fact that for a high end ps3 you can get a premium 360 and a wii and the ps3 won;t be looking too attractive to parents out buying a console for their kids this christmas.
Out of this generation of console i can see the wii doing the most damage with microsoft coming in second, Sony are doing themselves no favours with pricing, and amount of consoles theyre shipping. If they can only ship 400k for nov 17 id love to see the amount they woulda been able to ship back in spring which was the original release time frame, couple of hundred maybe?
