Well, i didn't read the article but just from what i gather here on this post, i'm assuming grandma was black?
Without knowing any details i'll play devils advocate here for a sec, I can see where she may have panicked having someone trying to kick in the front door. Perhaps when they were knocking and announcing "Police", she didn't hear them all that well (hearing aid turned off?) and got her trusty gun and blasted away as they kicked in the door.
In any event, the police on scene did what they were trained to do (except get shot) so they shouldn't be held liable for anything. The Police department however needs to do something about getting the "wrong address". Someone dropped the ball on that one and they'll need to answer for it.
Situation was tragic for all involved but, i don't see the need for the "African/American public defense committee" (aka: Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson....etc) to get involved. Seems they just hang around waiting for something to happen between Mr Whitey and a black person. Where were they for the O.J. fiasco?
PS: Grandma was a great shot. Probably had sniper credentials from WWll.
The world is my urinal
