If she cheated - then she obviously wasnt into dude, and at the least has someone to go to once all this is said and done. This isnt particularly clever - just spiteful and in the end, wont erase the fact that he got fucked first.

EDIT: Just seen the end, man he flounders - this coulda been his epic moment, but then he just gets called out for his shit not being up to snuff. Seriously - neither one of these two got the better of the other, and the female didnt look particularly embarrassed.
