someone please explain this to me

P-51 nice manuverable fighter gets 15 bombs and 900 rounds of cannon ammo

i walk up to the B-17 after finially finding a map in it, get in, 8 bombs, a top turret and a bottom turret. now, to put it simply, WHAT THE FUCK??? why does a fighter get more bombs than a fucking slow ass bomber?
