Ive no idea what the firmware version is, but I heard this is really only happening on the NEWEST firmware so I assume thats what the lil bastard I bought it from had it on. I really dont have the patience to take it all apart again, especially after getting it to finally work the proper way - plus I wanted to smash it like 4/5 times last night and just accept the 400 dollar loss.

I would have told them to leave me the fuck alone while I deal with my shit. . .I was REALLY pissed during the whole thing. . .mostly because it was Sunday, and realized the more time I spent inside the machine - the less time I had to actually PLAY it.

And no, I have no patience for ingame loading after getting used to (at max) five second loading from the HD. Sure youd have to increase the HD size somehow, but that would be a cost I'd gladly incur for the reduction in loading - even if its minimal.
