if you think one of your drives failed, unplug it and set the other one as the master.

i had a cd rom fail the other day on my parents computer and the thing would freeze up. i could get into the bios but it would look all shitty and weird. unplugged the thing and it booted up.

i agree that i doubt it's power supply with the thing booting up.
