I've made maps of my house and local places before, only because it's interesting to see places you've been to and that you know exist, in a game. The reaction the school took was completely disproportionate to the circumstances - and those parents are retarded. Yes, lets not discuss this with our son first but report it to the police and school.

edit: I wonder what would have happened if he had made his school or a part of it in a game like The Sims.
