Im talking about his battlestar fagtastica obsession (Its probably more of a 92b thing) - Its pretty typical sci-fi. Just the fact that everyone in the future flies spaceships and has matching uniforms and gay names alone is cliche.[/quote:aaa0d]
Everyone doesn't fly ships, and the only people who have matching uniforms (and fly the ships) are the soldiers who you'd expect to have matching uniforms. Everyone else dresses pretty much like people would dress in our modern time. As for gay names - those are their call signs. Again, they're soldiers.
If you're talking about the old version, sure - but the new version has regarded as well (if not moreso) than the sci-fi flick in your sig.
Like CHILDREN OF MEN - BSG's sci-fi trappings are there to help create the metaphorical situations, and allegories to modern times.
