Dunno why the hell they showed it off as a racing game scene, the games meant to be an FPS as id said "thats what they know and do best".
Personally i dont see anything impressive about it, even the character model closeup looks kinda weird. Seems modelling and animating humans has never been ID's strong point.
Regardless though nomatter what new tech they develop they always half ass it on the multiplayer side, usually by playing to their ever dwindling fanbase by making it quake 3 style multiplayer. Ive even been reading quakewars has bunnyhopping intact in the game ffs, People say its used to move around the maps faster...but quakewars already has an infinite sprint in the game becuase the maps are so large, its not needed but seeing as some clans are beta testing the game im sure strafejumping will be kept ingame just to appease them. rolleyes:
