By that logic, why do we have murder? Why do we have abortion? Why do we have crime? Etc. etc. Once you build up first world countries as some infallable machine, it makes it that much more easier to be "stunned" when situations like this occur. Personally - I'm going to go out on a limb and say incidents like this ARENT indicative of the norm.

I suppose - but I'm not suprised to hear about murder or abortion or crime. These things happen everywhere and are part of society. An entire hospital's staff refusing to care for dieing patients with no reason provided is pretty suprising....Im not saying its the norm, but its obviously not a freak accident either - Especially considering the history of this particular hospital.

I would expect a powerful/rich nation such as the U.S to have a well-oiled machine when it comes to healthcare administration. How could there be a hospital with so much of its staff being so incompetent? That doesnt just happen.
