Rumors:
Supposedly, Benoit was at his Saturday house match (the day when his son died) but then flew home, telling promoters that his son was coughing up blood in a family emergency. I've heard this many times, but I've also heard he wasn't even at the show and that he just called them.

Also, the text message that Benoit sent to Chavo Guerrero said something along the lines of "the back doors are being left open and the dogs have been fed". Basically, Chavo thought this was bizarre, especially since Benoit didn't return anything thereafter.
