Yo,

So I'm going to Ibiza on Wednesday & my mates & I are feeling rather rebellous so we are considering getting tattoos. I know many of you are prolly thinking OmG how gai etc. I was the most anti-tattoo person ever but I figure if I'm ever going to get one it may as well be in Ibiza when I'm off my face & with my friends.

I don't really want a large garish tat with my mothers name, might not go down too well in the wardroom. I've been thinking quite deeply about it & I definately want to get something that has a significant meaning to me, something I believe in very strongly.

I wondered what to get, perhaps an anchor to represent my Navy family links? Then I had a brainwave to use the ships crest from my grandfathers warship in world war two. HMS Vesper. I managed to track down his shipmates & also re-search what he did, though I never met the guy he is my hero. I think this would be a good way of honouring him & also the men who served aboard the ship. It's quite an interesting pic too as 'Vesper' means 'evening star'.

my version of what I want the tat to look like, I've gotten rid of all the border crap & added the motto below: 'You never know what the evening will bring' - or words to that effect.

Do you guys think this is totally gay? I'm considering getting it done on my arm round about sholder patch level. Do you think black or silver?
