i thought i'd represent the double-sided nature of the words. on one side, it is saying if you wish the war to be over, you will be pro-active to protest it ect. like john and yoko did. however, we have seen in the vietnam war and the more recent Iraq war that being pro-active against the war seems to do nothing but stir up hatred between the two parties ie antiwar activist and extremist prowar activists, but this happens with everything in life. i'm glad you challenge everything, because i do not necessarily believe his statement is correct, but i did find it interesting, and sort of profound, yet i believe it accomplishes nothing. mostly i thought it was an interestingly ironic statement because even when peace is the primary objective that you seek, you only find conflict, and the dark tones of the picture were trying to represent this. i appreciate your curiosity. questioning things is a great way to learn
