Treyarch, the video game development company under Activision responsible for three Call of Duty titles, is searching for level builders to work on the said franchise. There's no info about what's next for the popular first-person shooter series, but the mention of World War II on the job ad spurred speculations.
The game developer posted requirements that applicants will have to meet to be involved in development of "an industry leading First-Person Shooter action war franchise" and added that fans of WWII shooters are preferred.
Under Treyarch's banner are entries to the Call of Duty franchise like Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2: The Big Red One, and Call of Duty 3. It wouldn't be surprising if the developer decides to use its expertise in WWII-based games for its next project, and we find it hard to imagine a Call of Duty 4: '40s Warfare spin-off. Will Call of Duty 5 go back to its roots of beach invasions and Nazis?
