Default EA monopolizing sports videogames - 03-02-2008, 01:10 PM

This is kinda old news, since it happened last month, but I never knew about it until now.

In terms of NFL videogames, the NFL license was reupped for EA exclusive rights, which means that Madden will be the only NFL game until 2011 (instead of this year).

But, this story pisses me off:

Electronic Arts Proposes to Acquire Take-Two Interactive Software for $26 Per Share in Cash, or Approximately $2.0 Billion
FYI, Take-Two owns 2ksports, which makes vastly superior basketball games. If EA buys out Take-Two, then basically the only sports games will be made by EA Sports (Midway and those other shitty sports-game companies don't count, cause there games were never good). Take Two also distributes Grand Theft Auto games.

WTF ever happened to monopolizing penalties?
