[quote="=[BANE]=":763f2]There were a couple of instances the past few days I was accused of camping.
In Remegan I was heading to the intersection with the wagon/crates when a teammate was blown apart by an Allied grenade. So I hoof it back and take cover behind the wall enclosing the yard and wait. Sure enough, two Allied soldiers come running around the corner and two shots with the sniper rifle later they're dead. What does one of the dead say to me? "Campers are losers, bane!" One, you have no idea how long I'd been there and two, you're dead and I'm alive. Go figure that that makes me a loser.
Another was in Stalingrad. I noticed the same two people were always in the same room at the same windows. I took a defendable position with a good sight line to those windows and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. After 20 or so kills I was accused of camping because they had not been able to kill me. Uh, hello? What exactly is it you think you're doing? I just happened to exploit their actions a little better than they did mine.
The sniper rifle is the only weapon you can really camp with for any length of time and still get kills. That's what snipers do. Occasionally you get some "locational awareness" about an opponent and you can wait for them to run by and MG 'em in the back. If these things make me a "camping loser" so be it. I'll see ya at the score screen, Forrest...[/quote:763f2]
That's not camping, any military mind would call that "setting up a kill zone", that is an high traffic area that you can scan and engage enemies on while being in cover.
Camping is like when someone hides behind a door in a low traffic area with an STG of Thompson at the ready and kills whoever was stupid enough to walk in. They end up with something like 10-2 when those who set up a proper kill zone can get 30+ kills.
