[quote="aNti hEro":46da6]but was it ever this big? now everywhere i look its skateboarding or snowboarding or anything that fits in the category as teen oriented. i dont remember seeing calvin klien commercials with skateboards 5 years ago. no one is an individual[/quote:46da6]

For the last 5 to 10 years, it has been in a steady incline towards popular lifestyle. I skated for 5 years up until 3 years ago. I had a look at what it had become, trendy surfshop bead necklace wearing fuckwit jocks carrying scratchless perfect looking $150 decks and picking up brainless big titted bimbo's just because they were wearing their Hawaiian flower shirts and Independant/World Industries caps.

It's been popular culture, "generation x" bullshit for atleast the last 5 years, even more. All you have to do is look at old Suicidal Tendencies music videos to see what I mean. Old school decks and pool skatin running amuck. Tony Hawk has been a sellout for years. Doesnt mean he is no good. That guy can skate, there's no doubt about that.
