Alliedassault - View Single Post - Version 1.11 and I don't have an alternate gamespy choice.

I understand that when you have ver. 1.11, you're not supposed to have to use gamespy. I went into the multiplayer room and I dont see any internet options other than launching gamespy. I would like to know what I'm doing wrong.
Can anyone offer any advice?
And yes, my game shows ver 1.11 on the top of the screen.
