Seriously, you can run a computer indefinately like this, all you need is airflow around the main components. I've actually had computers run cooler this way than with the armor on and the regular fans going. I wouldn't put the fan motor close to your monitor tho, those magnets tend to be powerful enough to cause distortion on a CRT.
