Default video - 10-27-2002, 04:46 PM

I have a WinTV recorder that I recently installed in my comp. I want to record action from gameplay in Allied Assault. Is there anyway to do this?

I tried plugging my S-Video cable into my G-force card and then plugging the other side into my WinTv recorder. It didn't work. Are there any options im supposed to enable to get my video card to "export" video into my tv recorder?

I believe it's
right click desktop
properties
settings
Then advanced. look around here, what you want to find is the option to display your desktop on both monitors ( your computer monitor and your TV) in this case your wintv card.

I own a Geforce 4 TI4400. I search through the settings and advanced options and I don't see anything about displaying anything to a secondary monitor. Can you help me out further?

Unfortunately I am not privy to Ge-force setups. But you may want to try and disable your monitor, and plug the TV in. You should also refer to the users manual. The pictures help a lot.

ok, I got my tv to display somethin, but my tv is displaying my "other monitor" like I have 2 monitors hooked up or somethin. It is just like my computer thinks the tv is another monitor. I want my tv to display whats on the desktop, not act like another monitor.

Sorry I was doing that from memory. I do not have my Ti4600 any more. My new 9700 pro is setup totally different when hooking up 2 monitors.

I do believe you have to have the TV out plugged into something. I would test it with a basic TV or VCR.

I would recommend a VCR because your wintv will each up CPU cycles as well. You record your movie on the VCR then after the game is over play it back into the wintv card. You should see much better performance both game and TV capture.

Sorry I can not be of more help with the TV out, been a while

I see what you're saying. Ok, i got further... I got my tv to display my actual desktop, except now my computer wont display it now. How the heck do I get my tv to display what my computer is showing???

btw: in the settings menu, i have the option to "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor". When I deactivate it, my tv displays nothing.

Go into display and select which monitor (if more than 1... i have 3) then click ADVANCED.

You wont see the correct TABS in your video advanced settings until you install NVIEW.

Personally I would setup a VCR. fire up your MOH game and take it via the vcr and your TV out.

Then play it back into a tv capture card. This way you don't steal clock cycles from either the game or the encoder , capturing the video back to disk
