I get a strange error, usually everything works fine playing MP but sometimes I can't connect to any server no matter what. I seems like the game doesn't know that I have an internet connection. The funny thing is that I get a server list but when I try to join a server nothing happens, just the old "server connection timed out". But I can see on my modem that nothing is happening, it isn't trying to connect.
Then, if I turn the PC completely off and on everthings fine again, and I never have this probelm with MOHAA.

Obviously, it's timing out because the game can't connect to your connection. Make sure in your MP options you have the connection type set to 56K. Also, make sure to connect to the lowest-ping server thats available, or you won't have much of a chance joining any other server. |

 Hi,
yes I have the patch and no, it's not a ping question coz lately it won't list the servers either. It just says "quering servers" and nothing happens.

Then I can go and eat dinner or whatever, try again a couple of hours later and bing, everthing works normal. No wonder I get frustrated?!! ed:

I've played MOHAA since the demo and n e v e r had this problem, I'm on a 1 Mbit cable connection so it can't be that. I've reinnstalled, I've thrown salt over my shoulder..... ARGH!

lol, this server isn't to stabile is it??
Thx for the tip man, unfortunally it didn't work. MOHAA is going like clockwork, it's just Spearhead that's acting funny. Yesterday I played for hours, tried again this morning, no luck.

 I'm completely lost.

This is why. SH is a true system hog, man.
 System requirements

This expansion requires the full version of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows ME
500 MHz AMD K6-2 or Intel Pentium II processor
 64 MB RAM
 4x CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive
16 MB OpenGL capable video card with DirectX 7 compatible driver
 DirectX 7 compatible sound card

Even with just those requirements, you are going to expect a hell of alot of slowdown. It has been proven numerous times that SH is alot more laggy than MOH:AA. My suggestion is to upgrade my friend. I can help you out in this feild if you decide to.

Tell me something I don't know freak:
I will have an upgrade someday, when I can afford it. But the game itself runs "fine" once I get it started, ofcourse I don't have 70-80 fps, but it's ok. Are you shure that is why? Because as I said sometimes it's no problem at all and when I first get hooked up to a server I have 50-80 ping and kill everything that's moving:-)

 Cheers

If you actually read some of the posts where I've put that link in, most of the time, it fixes the problem. |
