i'm not sure how to make skins. in the tutorial it says to open the pak or pack or wutevr files with winzip. dose this mean i have to get hte 'Open With.......' window to pop up and then select winzip or should it open winzip like a .zip file. Please help.

What's the difference? Just get it to open... This is the least complicated step, so if you're having trouble with opening the pak files, don't bother skinning.

That was harsh Feticidal. Uncalled for.

okay matt:

http://www.winzip.com go get winzip. once you have it, double-click on the .pk3 file that you want to open. a box will come up, just press agree. now when winzip opens, press the big button that says EXTRACT. now browse to a folder that you want to extract the files to. i would make a folder in /main with the same name as .pk3, just to make sure there is no confusion. after you have your folder set, just click ok or Extract. it will do the rest. lemme know if you need anything else.

good luck! biggrin:

I would use Pakscape....especially if you dont know what your doing. With it you can browse the contents of a pk3 without actually unzipping it.
