Still not confirmed.
Some places say its a rumor, others say its a bad translation, yada, yada, yada......
Kind of makes Doom's " It will be out when its done" attitude refreshing.

It lookslikeits true, but even without the added delay, it was still month(s) away. I refuse to get too excited until it is certain it is coming out.

10 to 1: Doom 3 devs are responsible. oOo:
They got it from hacking his email? How do you send 1/3 of uncompressed game data via email? Haven't you heard of fed-ex?

Joe you b00n, they exploited MS Outlook but only to get into the system, they didn't use e-mail to actually get the source. Rude says it was a keylogger but I assume it was trojan that gave the attacker full access tot he system, and they just transfered the source.

Heh, looks like this HL2 report is turning out lke all the rest. Unconfirmed rumor, contrdictory statements, etc.
I will have to reserve judgement until it is listed as confirmed by someone like IGN or Blues News. Until then, its rumor.
Time will tell.

Taken from blues news, under the quote you linked to above.
Update: Half-Life Source (ironically titled, under the circumstances) has their report based on visiting Valve saying that "only a SMALL PORTION" of the source has been stolen, and an email they attribute to "Mike Thompson who says he works for Vivendi Universal" saying "delay is not confirmed..." Did I mention this might not be the last word on this subject?
Again, until I see it somewhere I know I can trust, quoting something other than Vivendi Europe, its still rumor to me. I keep hearing too many things about HL2, about half of which end up being false.

Well I know from seeing it with my own eyes that it is a lot more then a "SMALL PORTION". Exactly how much has yet to be seen, if it can be compiled at all that is.

I have a hard time believing any of it at this point.
Who knows about the "small portion". A small portion of 100,000 lines of code? 10,000,000,000 lines of code?
Dunno.
I am not arguing whether it is true or not, I am just saying I am a skeptic (sp?) at this point.
