Default Why is Jessica Lynch a hero? - 11-10-2003, 12:14 AM

Someone want to explain this to me?

They get attacked, she goes to fire her weapon and she gets a stoppage. So instead of carrying out her Immediate Actions, she puts her rifle down and prays, gets captured, raped/beaten as a POW and then gets rescued.

I thought in order to be a hero you had to DO SOMETHING. She had no choice in what happened to her. Ayone could go there, lie down and pray, get captured and then get rescued. Doesn't seem too hard to me.

Anyway, I don't know why they would send a "soldier" to Iraq who can't carry out simple IA's to fix a stoppage.

I want to hear about somebody who killed 50 Iraqi's or someone who carried a wounded soldier or something like that. But I guess this is just a bunch of propaganda, right?
