What remote tools do u use or recommend for me to use on my server? which will allow me to add maps and mods to the server?

You will need to learn rcon commands to control your server, and how to ftp into the server to upload custom maps and mods.

i know all about rcon - and all the commands that come with it!
How do i ftp it? - any links? to help/tutorials/downloads?

I would think your provider will provide instructions to upload files.
