i didn't really see much discussion, hopefully some gone owners will talk about this. I know that my buddies dad bought a few auto's pre-ban for investments, i wonder if they will lose value now.

As the saying goes

"Semi Automatic guns don't kill people ... as well as fully automatic ones"

If guns were legal here in the UK, I'd buy one for sure.

the ban was a joke, it was all cosmetic. I could buy those last week as well as this week. It didnt address the functions of the weapons just the looks of the weapons

Living in Ny is probably reason enough to want a fully automatic rifle..or a few of them. oOo: biggrin:

Pass one my way while you're at it.

if you need a fully automatic gun to stop people from robbing you, you need some target practice

this is what bugs me, the unimformed making comments. The ban had NOTHING to do with fully automatic weapons. Fully automatic weapons have been illegal for quite sometime, way before this ban was even thought of. If you listen to the media they would love for you to believe otherwise. It banned 30 round magizines, bayonets and some cosmetic alterations to some guns. All of the items listed were for semi auto weapons. That means it will fire once for everytime you pull the trigger. Most of the weapons banned were modified by the manufacturors to meet the ban so they could still be purchased.
I could go 1 mile from where I work and buy a AK47 from the local gun store. They have 7.62x39 ammo for $100 per 1000. I could do this a week ago or a week from today. The bann did nothing, nothing at all.
Some people still have fully auto weapons legally, they have a Class III license and did you know a REGISTERED fully auto weapon has NEVER been used in a crime.

I know about 3 shooting ranges, and a store with about any weapon.

Theyve got WWI and II weapons, a 50 cal rifle, and tons of automatic weapons.
