...Exactly what I was talking about in the burning of taliban body thread. On that note, I totally agree with these two.

alot of that anti-US resentment has to do with al-jazeera. Media has alot of control over feelings. The US builds solar-powered water pumps, schools, and gives out tons of food and gets what for it?

"Get's what for it?" oOo:

Well the U.S did start a war in the first place stalling the entire country, destroying alot of it and stirring up a hive of insurgents drawing them in to Iraq, not to mention the deaths of around 30,000 civillians ....the civillians still alive just generally live in fear of being blown up every day for cooperating with the coalition forces....

I mean do you think they're just going to forget all the anger because of a few tons of food and some water pumps? They blame Americans with Al Jazeera or not. They're simple people....

Not necessarily simple people but it's all they know. Americans live in luxury, become obese and lounge in their mansions while people in their country suffer. They come to their country with war machines and troops, level their cities and kill their families. Regardless of what the US is actually trying to accomplish if you do that to someone theyre going to hate you, it only makes sense.

A technicality, but people say al jazeera this al jazeera that...al jazeera is probably the closest to an unbiased source of news you can getin the middle east. People in northa america watch al jazeera. You can get it on canadian satellite. I have a friend whose parents get ti and watch it. Their not suicide bombers or anti american or any of this nonsense. Al jazeera isn't a bad channel persay. Their the same thing as fox, except on the other side of the fence.

From their website:

[quote:b4e62]Free from the shackles of censorship and government control Aljazeera has offered its audiences in the Arab world much needed freedom of thought, independence, and room for debate. In the rest of the world, often dominated by the stereotypical thinking of news “heavyweights”, Aljazeera offers a different and a new perspective.

Aljazeera's correspondents opened a window for the world on the millennium’s first two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Our expanded coverage competed with and sometimes outperformed our competitors bringing into the spotlight the war’s devastating impact on the lives of ordinary people. [/quote:b4e62]

Now of course they can say whatever they want on their website, but I think people have unfairly latched onto al jazeera and proclaimed they were the sole source of propaganda in the middle east. I would think that a state sponsored media program would do a much better job of propaganda.

Anyway, just wanted to point that out.

Our societies work the same fucking way...we blieve the bad in different people instead of the good.

Look at what we do during wars to citizens of our own countries who just happen to be from a certain gene pool.

We are hypocrities for thinking they should love us when we radically and racially discriminate others just because of our own hysteria.

how come Aljazeera is always at beheadings? Do they just happen by and a terrorist says "hey bring that camera in here"
I doubt it, they are hiding info that could help thier countrymen. I trust them less than the NY Post!
