First let me tell you this, i'm not a NASCAR fan and this thread is not about the race itself.
My buddy calls me up Saturday around 11pm and says "Hey want to drive to the Pocono's to go see the Pennsylvania 500?" I was slightly hesistant on going because first off it was a 6 hour drive and I really dont' even like NASCAR. Anyways, I give in and go and head out around 2am. We packed up the car with nothing but a grill, 1/2 barrel of Miller Lite, and some lawn chairs. And we're off...
We get there at 7am and the lot is already packed. We were debating on starting to tailgate because it was that early in the morning but then we saw a bunch of people already chugging beer. We gave in to the unintentional peer pressure and fired up the grill and tapped the keg. We drank until 1 and then headed into the venue. Now to the true point of my story ...
HOLY FUCKING UGLY PEOPLE. There seriously was not one person there that was REMOTELY attractive. Everyone was so fat fuck toothless shithead with his damn scanner on his ears and his favorite car number tattoed on his arm. As for the females, they had penises. You would of swore it was the "People Who Got Hit With Tire Irons In the Face 500 Times In Pennsylvania Convention" and not the "Pennsylvania 500." What does this sport do that attracts the people that barely avoided natural selection?
Anyways the race was cool since i've never been to one. The flyover after the national anthem was pretty fucking intense. I recommend going to one atleast once in your life to see live the shear power these cars put out and the insane speed of their pit crew. All in all, it was pretty fun and ...
the msot i liked about the molson indy was everything about the event itself...moreso than the actual race itself...and in Toronto...all there is is hot women.
being at a race owns watching it on tv. That being said exactly what ktog said. fucking hot sweaty necks everywhere and your in the the sun baking in a fucking metal stand for hours. = nein fun.
going on like a friday watching them test/qualify and going to the pits where you are feet away from them is pretty awesome

anyone who liked dale jr or kevin harvick was really redneck. They probably sported a bushy mustache, a Goatee, dirty mullet, long hair'd dude or if they looked halfway normal, they supported him and looked out of place
look something like this (note hes a mark martin fan)

all the beer he saw getting drunk at 7 am was budweiser or Busch.
someone at some point called jeff gordon a faggot.
there was someone in the stands that would point every single time their driver came driving by.(200 plus times total)
someone was bald.
there were tons of flags swinging high from motor homes.
alot of people were super bummed when dale jr wrecked and didn't enjoy the rest of the race.
everyone was wearing these

I'll watch Formula 1, that's not as bad. I watched an hour of Sebring (can't believe how many times Audi won) and actually liked it, but Nascar is fucking ghey.
