OK, I have my barrels made, how do I make them explode with instant death to a person right by it

select your barrel and right click in 2d view and go func/barrel
whilst selected bring up the entity window and add in
key: barreltype
value: gas
it will explode with a few shots

That makes it explode but does it hurt the player if there near it? if not, how to make it hurt?

it will hurt if you are near it or in the same room
