Default Hello! (And A Question) - 10-28-2002, 08:58 PM

Hello, comrades!

I have lurked long enough evil:

Anyways, I do have a SERIOUS question that some of you may be able to help me with. For some reason, I can't get the accoutrements to show up on my in-game models (team, enemies). They used to show up. Is it because I have downloaded skins? Here is what I am talking about in case you don't understand:

http://www.geocities.com/the501stpir/CranSnipe.html

http://www.geocities.com/the501stpir/s0Bizzare.html

*Notice the shovel on the pack and the magazine pouches on these Allied players? They aren't on the models anymore.

http://www.geocities.com/the501stpir/Unsuspecting.html

*Notice how the German pack is very visible on this model.

Is there a simple tweak to get them back, or do I have to delete all of my skins? As of now, only the uniform is present on the models (despite the usual straps and belts). I know this sounds stupid to some, but I like my war titles as authentic as possible. Any help would be appreciated!!

have you tried model detail in the video menu or advanced menu. forgot exactly where it was. By lowering the detail, you will remove some elements of the players model.

Let us know if you can find it or if it even helps

Good luck

I tried tampering with all of those options. Everything is maxxed out when dealing with the graphics/models.

Oh well.

All of the video options can be found in the Main menu while running the game. There are a set of options for Controls, Audio, Video, and at the top, Advanced. Like I said, everything in the "Advanced" category has been maxxed out. I'll keep trying!

BTW Redneck, I like your sig! Are you a CW reenactor?

Default my own question - 10-29-2002, 11:25 AM

if a downloaded skin model has within its folder structure the folder pathway leading to where the textures for the accoutrements are supposed to be, but nothing was actually in those folders. what would happen????

I'm starting to think that by downloading new skins it cancels out the accoutrements on the models.

But, if anyone finds things out differently, let me know.

it could be that u have downloaded a corrupted skin file. i downloaded a corrupted map file and got all sorts of metallic sounds on every other map i played. just a possibility, but i would check it out. i did this by trial and error by removing maps and playing agoin to see if the sound was still present. my advice to you is to do this with the modded skins u have in your main folder and see if that is the cause.

Thanks Pelo, I'll check into that.

Gerard - There is no mod that I know of that enables the accoutrements. They are visible by default.

Theyre not visible by default at al. 2015 originally disabled them to help with the framerate. It must be a mod uve dloaded thats enabled them.

Hmmm...I have no idea then. If it is a mod, anyone have an idea which one it is?
