What type of music would this be man ? If you're talking Soundtracks, My favourite composer is Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition, The Green Mile, Amercian Beauty, The Horse Whisperer - being his best scores) He uses minimalist alot, Piano Solos, Strings, Creates awesome music... Or if you're talking Hans Zimmer's own particular brand of soundtracks, I'd say most all of "The Thin Red Line" soundtrack which I own, great, albiet depressing score... I also have Black Hawk Down, which for the most part, is awesome listening as well... I just love film scores, I think they've got more heart than plain old Classical Music, and more soul that most of todays "Pop" music... Great stuff. Can't go wrong with a soundtrack... Unless, of course, It's a bad soundtrack... oOo:

You should hear the main theme and Navy Seals theme of the movie "THE ROCK" which has sean connery in it. The music is awesome. Download if of kazaa or somethin. Also the "THE Battle" and "Am I not merciful" in Gladiator is great. Almost all the music in the soundtrack for Blackhawkdown and Gladiator is really good. There all from Hans Zimmer.

is Leave No Man Behind like the main one in BHD? Is it the one being played when Sergeant Pilla gets shot as Struecker's humvee column are leaving? If so, that rules. And the main theme from the Rock is awesome, I'm pretty sure that's like a modified version of an old classical piece.
Platoon soundtrack is awesome, because the only thing in it really is the incredible Adagio For Strings
