Don't get me wrong the voting system is a great but people will just play around with it or not use at all .I would know because i play a lot of SOF2 and that had a great mp and a voting system but what usually on a server that has the voting system on is:
No one votes off team killers and when they try not enough people vote to kick him
When to guys are having an arguement on a game they will try vote each other off but again no enough people vote and they continue argueing
People always try and vote of campers when camping is part of the game
There is always a couple of people who are not satisfied with playing on a map so they vote to change the map which is fine unless they keep calling votes every 5mins to change the map and when they finally get their map some other idiot starts voting for a differment map

So basically the voting system is going to ruin mp

the system is only as good as the people using it. i wish they would just put a god damn time limit on votes like in tribes, 30 seconds or something. |

Ohhh no its much diff. You select from a list what you want to call a vote about, then say its map, you just select the map, kick player select the player etc... Then the other clients vote yes w/ F1 and no w/ F2. Its a really cool concept, but people are already abusing it. I was ina server earlier, and these guys on each team were at scores of -50. People were trying to kick them but it never passed cuz most the people dont pay attention. Then they try to kick the people who tried it on them. Then they just call votes every minute for the fun of it.. Kinda Dumb |

let me guess the votes also appear in the chat window along with the join/leave messages along with the death messages along with the chat messages? |

yea not only that. but for ex. it says DeadBolt called a vote in the mid left screen, and bottom left there is like 2 big lines of text saying.
Vote for Kick Client "Sgt JoeShmoe" F1 to vote Yes F2 to vote no
 Yes: 23% No: 39% Undecided: 38%

To not see it you must be either in a battle with someone, or your just lost in space.

yeah it would be nice with some limit on the voting, like only the maps and kicks, not the servers settings on speed, healthrate and so on. |

Isn't voting only limited to 3 votes per player?
PS: I LOVE the new voting system. It's so much damn easier than typing in all of the messages.

I hate the cynical voting system, its like that b*stard team-kill idea in RTCW when you kill by accident and they automatically stab [F1] as fast as their boney fingers can, despite your appology!
"All f*cking voters should f*cking die" as `animal muther` from Full Metal Jacket would surely say :P
