XP Home is the best all-around. I have ME too, and it sucks.

If you plan on temporarily hooking your computer up to a local network for any reason (like university, etc.) do not get any "home edition", especially XP. It will not communicate with professional edition computers properly.

Windows 98 cause so far it has the least bugs and problems out of he rest. So for now use Win98 and next year get a new windows. But so far Win98 seems to be good.

Windows 98. Ha.
Ahem - dont be a weiny. Get XP Pro. Theres no difference really between PRO and HOME except that you get Remote Desktop and a few other network goodies. But foor the average user, home should be fine. If you get your XP through, alternate 'wholesellers', get PRO of course.

i use 98se, which is fine for me since i turn this comp off when i go to bed. never any problems whatsoever. XP screwed up my now windows 2000 box too many times, plus whenever i try to use it on my laptop i always end up yelling at it after a couple minutes "I JUST WANT TO SEARCH FOR THE FUCKING FILE NAME NOW GO AWAY" or "JUST LET ME IN THE FUCKING DISPLAY PROPERTIES ALREADY" etc oOo:
